stash: a skirt for mama

Remember that pile of free fabric from the shop downtown? Well I finally got around to making a little something for myself. Many of the pieces were already joined, in a somewhat haphazard, crooked way. So I thought it only fitting that I not pay much attention to straight lines myself. The zipper moves with the S-curve of the grain (and is blue, no less. I'm not sure what I think about the color -- too much?), the hem waves off to one side, and the seams do whatever it is those seams are doing.

All in all, a thoroughly quick and comfortable job.

  1. I love it, however crooked it may be.
But I always love the clothes that you make.
I would totally wear a skirt with an s-curved zipper in blue.
